The Laura Archives are housed in the historic former Masonic Lodge and hold resources for Laura, Stone Hut and Beetaloo, including microfilm of the Laura Standard newspaper and microfiche of many important community organisations.
Significant projects in which the RRHAS is involved include:
- Cemetery mapping and research
- Promotion of Laura as the boyhood town of CJ Dennis
- On-going maintenance of the two historic buildings.
So if you are visiting Laura and you have a question about local family history or events, call in. We’re open on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month or by appointment.
